RTO Treating Rotogravure Emissions w/Installation & Ductwork
Kono Kogs refurbished & installed a Durr Reeco RL Rotary RTO at a new facility for this supplier of laminate to the cabinet & motor home industry.
Problem
A supplier of laminate to the cabinet and motor home industry was expanding to a new facility that would include a new rotogravure printing press. Emission control for the press exhaust was required. A regenerative thermal oxidizer was the preferred oxidizer technology, In addition to the RTO, mechanical installation on the customer's concrete pad was requested.

Solution
Kono Kogs affirmed that a regenerative thermal oxidizer (RTO) was the best technology for the flexographic printing press emissions. We provided a Durr/Reeco RL RTO with 25,000 scfm capacity. The RL design is unique and well built, and is a great match for the 125F emission stream containing alcohols and acetates. We were hired initially to supply the refurbished RTO and mechanical assembly of the unit on-site. Kono Kogs also proposed and supplied interconnecting ductwork between printing press units, as well as roof mounted ductwork and T-dampers to route the press emissions to the RTO.
