Electrical Engineer

Job Responsibilities

  • Creating drawing packages including schematics, P&ID’s drawings, assembly drawing and other flow diagrams.
  • Creating PLC and HMI programs. Allen Bradley is primary platform.
  • Design controls cabinets and create bills of material.
  • Specify parts for projects including electrical and in some cases mechanical parts.
  • Work on an overall electrical standards for all equipment.
  • Layout and assemble main electrical control and miscellaneous electrical cabinets.
  • On-Site machine commissioning and testing.
  • Work with contractors during overflow conditions required to be to be contracted.
  • Assist with the estimating and developing electrical portion of equipment and aftermarket proposals.
  • Assist in planning projects with project managers.
  • Electrical & possibly some mechanical project management.
  • Provide technical electrical support to other representatives from time to time.
  • Provide service support to representatives and customers in-house (on the phone) and in the field.
  • Provide training to service representatives in programming and navigating PLC and screen programs.
  • Assist field commissioning of new and refurbished air pollution controls and control upgrade projects.
  • Travel will be expected but this will be kept to a maximum of 40%.
  • Create service and engineering reports.
  • Pass on any leads for oxidizer sales or large field rebuilds.
  • Miscellaneous shop functions as required. Examples are assembly, working with hand tools, wiring, etc.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in either electrical engineering, electrical design or electromechanical technology.
  • Have prior experience in the following:
    • Studio 5000
    • Factory Talk View
    • AutoCAD
    • Electrical Schematics/Wiring
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time for sales, commissioning, and service trips.
  • Troubleshooting/Problem solving capabilities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills in Excel/Word.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Able to pass drug screening.
